چکیده

Some algorithms for the solution of handed Toeplitz sys-tems calculate certain elements of the solution first and then the re-maining elements by forward or backward substitution. We show that, for symmetric matrices, this method is almost always highly unstable.A numerical example is given to support the argument.

Theory of confocal fluorescence imaging in the programmable array microscope ( PAM )

The programmable array microscope (PAM) uses a spatial light modulator (SLM) to generate an arbitrary pattern of conjugate illumination and detection elements. The SLM dissects the fluorescent light imaged by the objective into a focal conjugate image, Ic, formed by the ‘in-focus’ light, and a nonconjugate image, Inc, formed by the ‘out-of-focus’ light. We discuss two different schemes for conf...

A Fast and Dense 3D Scanning Technique Using Dual Pseudorandom Arrays and A Hole-filling Method

Acquisition of 3D data accurately and densely in real time using a low cost structured light system is still an ongoing topic among the computer vision community as it is hard to achieve all these features together. Among several techniques the pseudorandom array technique is widely used in real time 3D scene capturing as it tends to concentrate the entire coding scheme into a single pattern. B...

FPGA Implementation of F2-Linear Pseudorandom Number Generators based on Zynq MPSoC: A Chaotic Iterations Post Processing Case Study

Pseudorandom number generation (PRNG) is a key element in hardware security platforms like fieldprogrammable gate array FPGA circuits. In this article, 18 PRNGs belonging in 4 families (xorshift, LFSR, TGFSR, and LCG) are physically implemented in a FPGA and compared in terms of area, throughput, and statistical tests. Two flows of conception are used for Register Transfer Level (RTL) and High-...

Generalized Hardware Post-processing Technique for Chaos-Based Pseudorandom Number Generators

technique for enhancing the pseudorandomness of digital chaotic oscillators through a nonlinear XOR-based operation with rotation and feedback. The technique allows full utilization of the chaotic output as pseudorandom number generators and improves throughput without a significant area penalty. Digital design of a third-order chaotic system with maximum function nonlinearity is presented with...

Pseudorandom Direct Sampler for Non-Uniform Sub-sampling Architecture in a Multistandard Receiver

In this paper, a Non-Uniform Sampling (NUS) technique for down-conversion stage in a multistandard radio receiver is proposed. For both narrowband and wideband standard processing, NUS promises relaxing system design constraints, decreasing the sampling frequency as well as reducing power consumption. A non-uniform clock generator, called Pseudorandom Direct Sampler (PDS), is described. PDS is ...
